The 24th edition of the International Exhibition for Equipment and Technologies for the Oil and Gas Industry – Neftegaz 2025 has opened its doors at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds. The event is organised by EXPOCENTRE AO with the support of the Russian Ministry of Energy and the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade and under the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year, more than 1,000 companies from Russia, Belarus, China, France, Germany, India, Iran, Italy, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan present their products and solutions on an area of over 60,000 square metres. China has a national pavilion. Russian regional pavilions are arranged by Kaluga, Nizhny Novgorod and Novgorod Oblasts, Udmurt Republic, and Krasnodar Krai.

Neftegaz 2025 showcases solutions in the field of instrumentation and automation, pipeline valves, equipment for oil and gas production, transportation, processing and storage, as well as gas motor technology and developments of engineering companies.

The official opening ceremony was attended by Natalia Komarova, First Deputy Chair at the Russian Federation Council Committee on Agriculture and Food Policy and Environmental Management, Yury Stankevich, Deputy Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee for Energy, Dmitry Kurochkin, Vice-President at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Genady Shmal, President at the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Yury Shafranik, Chair at the Council of the Union of Oil and Gas Producers of Russia, Viktor Ivanov, President at the Russian Chemists Union, Konstantin Radinsky, President at the Oil and Gas Equipment Manufacturers Association, and Maxim Fateev, Director General at EXPOCENTRE AO.

Dmitry Kurochkin believes that despite all the new sanctions, the scale of Neftegaz is only growing. This year, its conference programme includes more than 30 major events and more than 100 reports.

“The Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry traditionally provides its auspices to Neftegaz," said Dmitry Kurochkin. “And not only the auspices, but it is also actively involved in the show’s conference programme, including jointly with the Chamber’s Committee for Energy Strategy and Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector.”

“I am very pleased to take part in such an insightful event," said Yuri Stankevich. “I am convinced that the conference programme will be very rich and will touch upon a large number of issues not only the most sensitive for the fuel and energy sector, but also for the economic development of the country as a whole.”

Natalia Komarova congratulated the audience on the start of the exhibition and forum. According to her, there is a need today to clearly and consistently, including legal regulation, create conditions for the real reproduction of the mineral resource base in order to remain leaders in the global energy market.

Yury Shafranik reminded that industry professionals have been meeting at EXPOCENTRE Fairgrounds since the 1990s. “Over these more than 30 years, the exhibitors have made a great contribution to the development of the oil and gas industry and the country's industry as a whole.  A lot of things have happened during this time, but the purposeful actions of our companies give their result. The industry is growing, and the exhibition is growing,” he said.

"Moscow’s Neftegaz opens a series of large exhibitions in the Russian regions dedicated to the oil and gas industry. Due to the current context, it is exhibitions that provide an opportunity to exchange opinions and see new technologies," believes Genady Shmal.

Viktor Ivanov thanked the oil industry professionals on behalf of all the country's chemists for providing the chemical industry with all the necessary resources.

Konstantin Radinsky emphasised the impact of the exhibition and forum on the industry. According to him, it is invaluable. “The exhibition and forum provide an opportunity to coordinate actions. Business networking at such events helps to address the challenges and tasks we face in today's difficult times," said Mr. Radinsky.

Maxim Fateev thanked the government authorities, the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Russian Ministry of Energy for their support, and the Neftegaz exhibitors for their trust.

“Today's speeches at the opening ceremony included the topic of sanctions pressure. We can see from the example of Neftegaz that the industry has not only adapted during these 10 years of the sanctions, but has achieved a technological breakthrough,” said Maxim Fateev.

Neftegaz 2025 is open until 17 April.
